Good morning, students:

Hurricane Helene has had a major impact on the Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia, and the Carolinas throughout the last several days. We have many students from impacted areas or who have family that reside in these locations.

We want to be certain students in need of assistance can easily access the needed support. To that end, please review the following list of resources:

  • Wellbeing support – The staff in Public Safety, Counseling Center, Religious and Spiritual Life, and Bailey Health Center provide related resources available to support student wellbeing.

  • Academic support – The Office of Advising processes requests for a Dean’s Excuse and other student forms. Additional campus offices provide valuable resources.

  • Student emergency fund – This fund exists to provide financial support to students experiencing hardship due to catastrophic events or other extenuating circumstances such as illness, the death of an immediate family member, or a significant medical emergency.

Please let us know if additional information or assistance would be helpful.

Kind regards,

Sarah Moschenross
Vice President for Student Life
