Student Health and Safety
Lafayette is committed to providing students with an environment for optimal intellectual, social, and emotional growth. We take very seriously our responsibility to help our students make healthy and safe choices and to create an educational milieu that both challenges and supports students as they strive to achieve their full potential. The College has a variety of programs, initiatives, and services designed to provide a safe and secure environment for students and other members of the campus community.
Alcohol and other drugs
High-risk consumption of alcohol by students poses a significant impediment to the safety of our students and to the College’s core academic mission. Lafayette’s position on the use of alcohol is not one of prohibition, but one of education and accountability.
A student whose behavior appears to meet the criteria for posing a serious risk to his/her own or others’ health or safety, and/or the educational process, will be subject to review by members of the Behavioral Health and Safety Review Committee.
Bias Response Team
The Bias Response Team was established by a coalition of students, faculty, and administrators to provide a mechanism to respond to acts of intolerance and resolve conflicts in a spirit of civil discourse and mutual accountability.
Mediation is a collaborative problem-solving approach to resolving conflict between individuals or groups. It is voluntary and conducted in a safe and confidential environment by an impartial mediator.
Sexual Harassment & Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Resources
Lafayette College is committed to providing a learning and working environment that emphasizes the dignity and worth of every member of its community. Sexual assault and sexual harassment in any form or context are inimical to these principles and will not be tolerated.
Student Conduct Program
The Lafayette Student Conduct Program advances the mission of the College by promoting a living-learning environment that is conducive to educational achievement and to the integration of intellectual, social, and personal growth. The Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for developing, administering, and assessing the program.
Student Leadership and Involvement

However, as soon as I walked out the classroom door, it […]Scott Paulis
